Summary of a process of 20 facilitators who elaborated a diagnosis of the situation of Afro-Ecuadorian women in 52 communities in the Chota Valley, in the provinces of Imbabura and Carchi. The research was also carried out with Afro-Ecuadorian women in Quito and the Intag region.

Factsheet “Rondas Campesinas facing violence against women”
Presentation of the training program on democratic leadership styles for men and women who wish to prevent gender-specific violence. The participants* were not only sensitized and trained on this topic, the trainings also led to the strengthening of their leadership positions in the community of Chililique Alto. This measure generated such a demand that it was used in more than 70 similarly structured organisations.

Factsheet “Ending violence against women in rural areas”
The National Coordinator of Rural and Indigenous Women’s Organizations (CONAMURI) unites several indigenous and rural women workers organizations from different provinces across Paraguay. Through its campaign “Stop Violence against Women in Rural Areas”, CONAMURI has made stopping violence against women in rural areas not only a strategic priority, but also placed the issue on the agendas of counterpart organizations and various government agencies in Paraguay.
